Eligibility for Admission
(1) To be eligible for admission to the degree of B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)/B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.), the candidates should:
  (a) Have passed, the Intermediate/Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) or an equivalent Examination from a University/recognized Board, securing in the aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks (for SC/ST category candidates - 45% of the total marks).
  (b) Have been selected on the basis of Admission Test prescribed by the VC.
  (c) Have been less than 20 years of age on July the first of the year of admission. However, in case of SC or ST candidates the maximum age limit shall be 22 years as on the above date.
(2) No candidate shall be admitted to the LL.M. Degree Course, unless he:-
  (a) has secured in the aggregate not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in all papers in the qualifying B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)/B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) (five years integrated programme) or LL.B. (three years programme) of a recognized University.
  (b) has been selected on the basis of Common Law Admision Test(CLAT).
 

Admission Test

Admission to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)/B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) (five years integrated  programme) first year and LL.M. first year and Ph.D. shall be made on the basis of Common Law Admision Test(CLAT).
 
Reservation
Subject to the provisions of section 17 of the Act, reservation in admission to various courses for the members of Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes and Other Backward Classes of the State of Uttar Pradesh and other categories shall be provided in accordance to the rules of U.P. State Government. Horizontal reservation shall be admissible to persons with disability and dependents of freedom fighters as per Government rules.
Provided that if sufficient number of eligible candidates to the concerned reserved seats are not available, the unfilled seats shall be filled by the General category candidates on the basis of their merit/score in Admission Test.
General Conditions
(i) Admission can not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. The admission of a candidate shall be entirely at the discretion of the Admission Committee of the University.
(ii) If two or more candidates get same marks in the Admission Test prescribed by the VC, then the marks in the 10+2 examination shall be taken into consideration. Still further if the total marks remain the same, then the marks in the High School or equivalent examinations shall be taken into consideration. If still further the marks remain the same, then the student senior in age will be given preference.
