BOSM’18
The students of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow participated in the annual BITS Open Sports Meet (BOSM’18) held in BITS, Pilani from 19th Sep’18 to 23rd Sep’18. It was an amazing experience for all the players as it was the first instance of our university participating in any open sports fest, where students from different fields came up against each other and competed in good sporting spirit. Standard of the sporting events was really remarkable and appreciable as players from various universities of India participated in all the events. The contingent of 86 students competed in various sporting events, the players gave their level best and more importantly maintained the spirit of the game.
On 20th Sep’18, our contingent started its campaign and participated in various sporting events. Boys Basketball team gave tough fights to the various prestigious colleges of Delhi University who are having sports quota for players and gave a tough competition to them, despite winning one of its game our team got knocked out in group stages with a close margin. Our Cricket team lost their match against BITS Hyderabad in a nail-biting game by just 1 wicket and got knocked out. Table Tennis team won their match in straight games. Lawn Tennis team got a walkover in their first match. Badminton team gave their best but lost to a strong team of Delhi University. In Swimming our performance was up to the mark and we got our medal, where we won a silver medal in 100-metre backstroke. In Chess, both girls and boys team participated and qualified for next rounds. Boys and girls Volleyball teams lost their 1st match in 3 setter nail-biting games.
On 21st September 2018 matches continued in the all the events. The football team played their game. Table Tennis team continued their winning streak and qualified for Quarter Finals. Despite performing level best our team got knocked out in Badminton Boys. Badminton girls team also got knocked out by Delhi Universities College, even though they gave a tough competition. Our Universities first ever girls Lawn Tennis team gave tough competition to BITS, Pilani but lost their first game.
On 23rd Sept 18,the boy's volleyball team lost their Quarter Final match. After completion of all the events on 23rd of September, our contingent returned back to Dr. RMLNLU.
It was a great experience for all of our players as they got an opportunity to compete with various prestigious universities of our country. The fest included contingents from various colleges such as IIT Delhi, Shri Ram College of Commerce, JamiaMilliaIslamia, BITS Pilani, BITS Hyderabad, BITS Goa and many more. The students of RMLNLU gave a tough competition and gave their best in all the events held and more importantly played in the spirit of the game.

Sports Committee RMLNLU has been dedicated to making the athletic and extra-curricular atmosphere more active and enjoyable for the students both within and outside campus.
With fresh plans like its brainchild, ‘FENZA’, which is the annual intra-college sports fest which aims at promoting the sports culture and giving an impetus to the budding athletes to showcase and test their skills in their respective arenas, the committee leaves no stone unturned to cater to as many and as efficiently as possible.

Over the past years the college’s athletes and teams have made their mark around the nation’s various sports fests and it makes us proud to associate with such victorious athletes and the committee intends to positively cater to and arrange for more such victories in the time to come.
The sports committee members are positively inclined to provide the campus with an electrifying atmosphere with its various plans for the sportspersons and hence ensure that the sporting fraternity is on its toes and always entertained.

Battledore (11th October 2015)
It is the intra-event for badminton following the same format where
buyers bid to get the best player and a team comprising of 3 men and 2 women
are formed to battle in the competition.
(10th October 2015) a friendly cricket match between faculty and
students.
Panenka (2nd September 2015) It is an intra-event of football, where
a team of 5 compete in a cage.
Balls of Fury (22nd August 2015) It is an intra-event for table
tennis where the participants form teams through an auction system and
battle for the trophy.

The University Sports Committee is actively involved in organizing sports events at the University campus. The Committee selects teams for all sports from amongst the students. At present the various sports teams have been formed for sports such as Volleybal, Football, Basketball, Table Tennis, Swimming etc. The various sports teams have been actively participating and contributing for various sports events organized at the University campus and also in other NLUs and colleges all over India.
